Does an eyelash serum also work for eyebrows?

Yes. Both our serums are suitable for lashes and brows. Apply sparingly to the brow hairs. It usually takes a little longer to see a difference on the brows, because brow hairs have a different growth cycle.

How quickly will you see results?

It depends on the serum. With the hormone-free Marie-José Multi Peptide serum, you assess the result after 8–12 weeks of consistent use: fuller, healthier-looking lashes and brows. Aphro Celina usually shows a visible effect sooner, but with a higher chance of side effects. Results vary per person.

Is the eyelash serum suitable for sensitive eyes?

For sensitive eyes or contact lenses, choose the hormone-free Marie-José Multi Peptide serum. It is dermatologically tested and has a mild, water-based formula. We don’t recommend Aphro Celina for sensitive eyes. Always remove contact lenses before applying, and stop if redness, itching or swelling occurs.

What is the difference between Aphro Celina and Marie-José Eyelash Serums?

Aphro Celina Original contains a prostaglandin analogue and gives the most visible effect. Possible side effects include irritation, redness and darkening of the skin around the eye. In 2026 the European SCCS concluded that several prostaglandin analogues are not safe in lash cosmetics; an EU ban is being prepared. The Marie-José Multi Peptide serum is hormone-free, fragrance-free and mild: a conditioning serum for fuller, healthier-looking lashes and brows. It’s our default recommendation for most clients.

How do I use eyelash serum within my salon range?

Work with clear product instructions, a short intake on skin and eye sensitivity, and honest advice. Recommend the hormone-free serum as the default and discuss the side effects of Aphro Celina upfront. Note in the client file which serum she uses and when she started.

How often do you apply the serum?

Marie-José Multi Peptide: twice a day, morning and evening, on the upper lash line and brows. After 8–12 weeks, 2–3 times a week is enough to maintain the result. Aphro Celina: once a day, in the evening, as a thin line along the upper lash line on clean, dry skin.

And an important advantage: the well-known disadvantages that prostaglandins can cause around the eyes do not apply to eyebrows. After all, no liquid gets into the eye.

How do you use the serum in your salon?

The serum works best when customers use it daily. One thin layer on clean lash lines or thinner areas on the eyebrows is sufficient. Many salons recommend making the serum part of the evening routine.

The first results are visible on the eyelashes after 6 to 8 weeks. It sometimes takes a little longer for the eyebrows, but the improvement in density and shape more than makes up for it. Once customers are satisfied with the length, maintenance three to four times a week is sufficient. That's exactly why eyelash serum is an ideal resale product: customers keep coming back for new packaging.
