How to apply brow powder with a stencil in 5 steps
Step 1 — Map your shape and choose your stencil
Use a pencil against the side of your nose to find the start, arch and end of your brow. Then choose the stencil out of six that best fits those points and your face.
Step 2 — Create a base that grips
Brush your brows with the spooly and apply the White Stick to the hairs and skin where the powder will go. This creates a waterproof base for the powder to hold on to.
Step 3 — Place the stencil and press in the powder
Place the stencil on your brow with the start on your first marked point and hold it with your middle and index fingers. Press the powder in with the brush in both directions within the cut-out. Start with a light layer – you can always build up.
Step 4 — Repeat on the other side
Carefully lift the stencil and repeat on the other side. Because you use the same stencil both times, your brows get the same shape, even if they're naturally uneven.
Step 5 — Blend and set
Fill in sparse spots with short, hair-like strokes and blend with the spooly so no hard edge remains. Set the shape with clear brow gel. It's alcohol-free, contains pro-vitamin B5 and keeps your brows in place all day.
Tip: gel first, powder second. You can also use the gel before the powder. Place the stencil, brush the gel through the hairs so they follow the shape, let it dry and then apply the powder. The hairs are already lying in the right direction.
Brow powder or brow pencil?
Powder gives a soft, natural and full finish and works well on oily or combination skin. A pencil gives a sharper line and works best on normal to dry skin. With the White Stick as a base, powder is water-resistant; pencil lasts longer with a setting gel.
